Minigame 2: Rapids

My goal for rapids was to create an easy to play relaxing canoeing experience. I achieved this by allowing the player to get used to movements of the canoe by having longer pauses in between required actions. I also create an on-rails system that helps the player go along the path.

Minigame 1: Glissade

My goal for glissade was to break the long and slow survival aspect of Survivorman VR and bring a little joy to the players with this quick reaction sub  2 minute level. It is designed to be easy and fun and very quick to finish. 

Game Trailer

  • Developed three mini-games, overseeing all aspects from prototyping to finalized production.

  • Recreated and implemented Les Stroud's avatar.

  • Optimized the avatar to run smoothly in VR.

  • Programmed various mechanics from the ground up like the canoe system, glissading system, UI systems and leaderboards. 

  • Created various detailed 3D models like the helicopter and minigames environments.

Project Contribution​

Survivorman VR is an immersive virtual reality survival adventure game that plunges players into the harsh and unforgiving environment of a snow-covered mountain after a helicopter crash. As the sole survivor, players must rely on their ingenuity and survival skills to navigate the treacherous terrain, find resources, and make it down the mountain before succumbing to the elements.
